Teenage Dreamin’

Wednesday, September 15th, 2010

We got to have some fun designing Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream Album Release Party at the brand new Gansevoort Park hotel (I highly recommend you to check out the bar and event space on the top two floors!).    Inspired by Katy’s love of candy, we turned the roof into the Candy Shoppe of her dreams.  She loved the candy rings and jewelry.

A Most Unusual Wedding

Friday, September 10th, 2010

A few weeks ago I planned and designed a highly unusual but incredibly gratifying wedding.   The wedding was planned in two weeks and and only 5 guests attended.   It was a couple from Europe who decided to surprise their children with an American style wedding.  14 years together, the had decided it was time to tie the knot.  After an extremely moving ceremony, they rode antique convertibles around town, took formal photos in Times Square and rode pedicabs down Fifth Avenue before sitting down outside to a five-course meal in the middle of Rockefeller Center.   The evening was very emotional for everyone involved – the love of the couple, the love of a family and a backdrop straight out of an American movie.  An experience that stays with you for life.
