During a food tasting for an event in St. Barths, I had one of the most innovative passed hors d’oeuvres that I have tried in a long time. It was a Frozen Bloody Mary. It’s not for everyone but I give it an A for creativity. It’s a great concept for outdoor weddings in warm weather.

One of my fantasies is to install a giant version of this over a dance floor in a room that is basically a black lacquered box. I love the silver drippy nickel chain! It is designed by Barlas Baylar for Hudson Furntiure.

In terms of jaw-dropping views of New York, no event space compares to Ellis Island. You look onto the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan Skyline while sitting on the Hudson River. It is also incredible to watch the views change as the sun drops over the horizon and the NYC’s bright lights come on. Take a look at one of our events from this summer.

I am always looking for new gift ideas. On a recent tour of the Armani Store on 5th Avenue, I found so many great items at varying price points. Their chocolate boutique, Armani Dolci, is filled with unique ideas and is really well done. I was equally impressed by their home accessories collection. I really fell in love with their candles, especially the Eau de Jade scent. They are lovely and beautifully packaged – simple but beautiful.
